I've been driving off-road in Qatar since 2013 and as such felt I was quite experienced. However, before joining Q4W there were some maneuvers that I could not seem to get right; for one, I didn't understand why it always took my several tries to get up steep slopes with soft sand - I usually lost engine power and got stuck before I hit the top. Also, when driving sideways on slopes I never really made it and had to 'evacuate' and turn down...
The Marshalls taught me the simple solution: gear down and keep the engine at high revolutions to keep momentum and power. It's as simple as that, but I typically either had the car in a gear too high or with too little throttle / power
Understanding this has made my trips so much more enjoyable!
