Since the 1st moment I joined the Group ( On my introduction ride ) The Marshalls kept mentioning how important deflating is .
And on different occasions I experienced how the correct PSI turns you from Struggling into Floating. As an example :
- Once I was going to join the Convoy and I was little bit lazy to deflate my tires , simply I went to the guys at the entry of Sealine to Deflate .
- 30 minutes later in the middle of the dunes , and after having an unpleasant ride for a while not knowing the reason . As Expected I got stuck .
- On checking the Tire Pressure of my tires – Upon the Guidance of the Marshalls – I found out that the tires were ( 15 , 20 , 13 , 19 ) PSI
- So I Deflated all to 13 PSI and what a HUGE , REMARKABLE Difference . Was Floating over the Dunes “ Aladdin on his magic carpet “ Style
- Turned from Struggling into Pure Pleasure .
Correct PSI matching the Terrain that you want to conquer … will turn you from Zero to Hero in no time 😃
As much as you deflate its more risky to pop your tire out of the Rim - so be careful on taking sharp turns on deflated tires. We experienced this twice on the same day with the same Member … He was taught the hard way ….
